Skinners of Oxted joined BUSK Benchmark to demonstrate its commitment to passenger safety by working in partnership with BUSK to promote safe coach travel. In particular, Skinners would like to show schools that choosing a reputable company can only enhance the coaching experience and offer a memorable trip for all.

Drivers: Skinners employ 10 full and 7 part time drivers.
Training: It is company policy that all drivers attend one CPC training day per year. Details of the modules covered are outlined below.
Maintenance: In house maintenance carried out in purpose built workshop managed by Stephen Skinner, Workshop Manager. Vehicles safety inspected every 5/6 weeks.

For complete peace of mind, Skinners arrange financial protection of your holiday payments through the Bonded Coach Holidays Scheme. This is operated for coach tour operators by the industry’s national trade association The Confederation of Passenger Transport UK. Drivers employed by Skinners are highly trained in all aspects of providing passenger safety. They are very experienced and skilled individuals with a wealth of knowledge and experience of driving both in the UK and in mainland Europe. All Skinners drivers have, as part of their Driver CPC training, competed modules on “Drivers’ Hours”, “The School Run and Customer Care”, “First Aid for LGV & PCV Drivers”, “Drive Safe & Stay Legal”, “Dealing with Emergencies & Vehicle Evacuation” and “Safe Urban Driving”, with an emphasis on cycle safety. It is company policy that all drivers attend one CPC training day per year. All Skinners drivers have undergone a DBS check to an Enhanced level. Skinners are members of BUSK Benchmark, the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT), the Coach Tourism Council (CTC), the London Tourist Coach Operators Association (LTCOA) and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). Skinners place great emphasis on safety and reliability, with fleet maintenance and repairs carried out by highly skilled staff in our extensively equipped workshops. We are proud to be an Authorised Test Facility (ATF) for DVSA (VOSA) PSV testing. The Skinners fleet of coaches meet the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) requirements.
