Our drivers are highly trained professionals and the Company strives to provide a first class service in all respects. Fleet: Fleet of 98 coaches with a seating capacity of between 8 and 87 passenger seats, all fitted with 3 point safety belts.
Drivers: Acklams Coaches employs over 160 full and part time drivers.
Training: Acklam Coaches has their own Training Academy and has attained approval to be a CPC centre. Drivers are trained in CPC modules that include The Professional Bus Driver, Customer Service, Workshop & Drivers' Hours, along with some bespoke courses written for their company. Drivers also receive a yearly Health & Safety refresher training.
Maintenance: In house maintenance carried out and managed by the in-house team of trained mechanics. Vehicles safety inspected every 5 weeks

Acklams Coaches have live tracking on all their vehicles so the location of any vehicle can be checked at any time.
Acklams Coaches has a 'Drive Green-Drive Safe Policy' and through the live tracking app, they can monitor the driver's driving style and idling score with a view to offer further training as and when required. The overall aim is sustained driver improvement. They also have installed, the low bridge audible warning in their vehicles, in conjunction with Green Road.
